Directed by British filmmaker Aneil Karia and adapted by UK screenwriter Michael Lesslie, this is a bold and vivid reimagining of Shakespeare’s famous play. Featuring a first-rate British cast that includes Riz Ahmed, Timothy Spall, Joe Alwyn, Art Malik and Welsh actor Morfydd Clark, the film is gorgeously scored by Manchester-born composer Maxwell Sterling. Synopsis

Hamlet (Riz Ahmed) returns for the funeral of his father (Avijit Dutt), where he’s dismayed to discover that his uncle Claudius (Art Mailk) intends to marry his newly-widowed mother, Gertude (Sheeba Chaddha). After being visited by his father’s ghost, Hamlet learns that it was Claudius who murdered him, as he embarks on a journey of revenge as the dark reality of his family’s empire is revealed.
