British filmmaker Miranda Bowen marks her accomplished directorial debut with this gripping drama-thriller that she also co-writes with Nottingham-born Steven Sheil. Talented UK actors Joseph Kennedy and Ophelia Lovibond are fantastic as the film’s leads, with British cinematographer George Steel ensuring the film is visually striking. Synopsis
Lucille (Ophelia Lovibond) and Joe (Joseph Kennedy) have emigrated to the Maltese island of Gozo following Joe’s ex-girlfriend killing herself after finding out about their relationship. However their guilt and trauma is not so easily outrun, as the island begins to feel like it’s closing in on them.
