Days of the Bagnold Summer

Starring a remarkable ensemble British cast including Rob Brydon, Alice Lowe, Tamsin Greig and Elliot Speller-Gillott, this empathetic film is based on the graphic novel by Brit Joff Winterhart. With an affecting script from UK screenwriter Lisa Owens and original music by Scottish band Belle & Sebastian, the drama was co-produced by UK outfits Stigma Films, Trigger Films, and Storyhouse.

Prepped to spend the summer in Florida with his dad and his new wife, Daniel (Earl Cave) faces the new and unexpected prospect of six weeks with his mother (Monica Dolan) after his dad cancels the trip. Trapped in their suburban home, his mum tries to recreate the good times while Daniel's focus is listening to heavy metal and starting his own band.
