Mind-bending, atmospheric solitude on an uninhabited stone island

Shot on 16mm, this Cornish folk horror unfolds on an uninhabited island in the Celtic Sea where a wildlife volunteer’s daily observations of a rare flower takes a dark turn into the strange and metaphysical.

In these exclusive clips we catch up with BAFTA -winning director Mark Jenkin, producer Denzil Monk and lead actress Mary Woodvine from the film Enys Men (which means 'Stone Island' in Cornish) after the film's premiere in the Director's Fortnight section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

"We come from an ancient land of hard rock and stone, so that was always the starting point"

- Mark Jenkin, director, Enys Men

"We can't quite believe we are here, premiering in Cannes was amazing."

- Mary Woodvine, actress, Enys Men
