Directed by American animator and filmmaker Jimmy T. Murakami, this stunning and thought-provoking animation is voiced by British actors Peggy Ashcroft and John Mills. UK illustrator and cartoonist Raymond Briggs compellingly adapts his own graphic novel, with a fine soundtrack offered by UK musician Roger Waters. Co-produced by UK-based companies Film Four International, British Screen Productions, TVC London and Penguin Books.

Synopsis

Hilda (Peggy Ashcroft) and Jim Bloggs (John Mills) are an elderly British couple who enjoy their peaceful and straightforward life in the British countryside. But when they hear of an impending nuclear attack that they don’t take seriously enough, the unsuspecting couple begin to experience terrifying repercussions to their inaction.
