Synopsis

In 1859 Hull, a disgraced former army surgeon (Jack O’Connell) signs up as ship's doctor on a whaling ship headed to the Arctic. On board he meets an ominous harpooner (Colin Farrell), whose barbaric and unscrupulous ways have been shaped by the unforgiving world he inhabits.
