Tamara Drewe

Based on the graphic novel by British cartoonist Posy Simmonds, adapted by the UK’s Moira Buffini (Jane Eyre, The Dig), this romantic romp is a collage of satire, sadness, silliness, wit and warmth, aided by a talented British cast - Gemma Arterton, Dominic Cooper, Luke Evans, Tamsin Greig, Jessica Barden - and judicious direction from the UK’s Stephen Frears (Philomena).

Journalist Tamara Drewe (Gemma Arterton) arrives from London to her countryside hometown and finds herself the object of attention from three different men: Andy (Luke Evans) a local handyman and her former boyfriend; Ben (Dominic Cooper), a drummer in a rock band; and Nicholas (Roger Allam), the married man who runs the local writers colony. Antics ensue.
