The first three seasons of the original hot-priest show indulged viewers with James Norton (Happy Valley) as a sweet, amateur sleuth who loved to solve murder in 1950s Cambridgeshire. Grantchester, 1953. Kind-hearted clergyman Sidney Chambers (James Norton) becomes compelled to assist Detective Geordie Keating (Robson Green) in the investigation of a series of crimes in a small-town outside of Cambridge, while continuing to provide guidance to the community and deal with his own romantic woes.
