This gentle and beguiling drama is set in the northern Cornish coastal town of Port Isaac and co-produced by UK outfits Buffalo Pictures and Homerun Productions. Created by Brit Dominic Minghella, it’s led by endearingly prickly UK actor Martin Clunes, with surprising guest roles from those as high profile as Sigourney Weaver. Humane, light and always reliably entertaining.

Synopsis
Surgeon Dr. Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) abruptly leaves London to become a general practitioner in the quiet fishing village of Portwenn, where he spent holidays as a child. Unfortunately his lavish car and designer wardrobe don’t give off the best first impression, and once locals witness his impolite manner, he quickly alienates himself from the community.
