Synopsis

In the eighteenth century, Irish Barry Lyndon (Ryan O’Neal) is forced to join the British army before attempting to desert. Then being coerced into the Prussian infantry, he becomes part of British nobility by gambling with Chevalier de Balibari (Patrick Magee) and marrying wealthy widow Lady Lyndon (Marisa Berenson).
