Directed by Oscar-winning British filmmaker James Reed, and executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, this intimate documentary is shot by UK cinematographers Ewan Hamilton Dryburgh, Ben Sadd and Africa-born Ben Cherry. Seamlessly weaving together contemporary and archival footage, the film is narrated by beloved British broadcaster David Attenborough, including excerpts from his 1978 journals. Co-produced by Bristol-based Silverback Films.

Synopsis
In 1978, David Attenborough had his first encounter with baby gorilla Pablo in the mountains of Rwanda. Now he revisits Pablo’s descendents almost fifty years later to capture some of the species' astonishing, never-before-filmed behaviours.
