ACE 36 Annual Programme

Every year, ACE Producers accepts 18 experienced film producers into the renowned ACE Network after completing ACE’s Annual Programme of executive education. Interested producers are asked to submit a project in development that is suitable for co-production and aimed at the international market along with their application. Through high-end executive training, ACE empowers producers to anticipate trends, be forward thinking, embrace new partnerships, integrate emerging technologies, and implement modern environmental practices.

ACE Leadership Special 2026

The ACE Leadership Special is aimed at experienced producers looking to develop their personal leadership and entrepreneurial skills and to establish sound business foundations for their companies. The workshop is made possible thanks to support the Netherlands Film Fund. Open to members of the ACE Network and other experienced, established producers of a similar level, the ACE Leadership Special takes place over two 3/4-day residential workshops with additional online sessions complementing them. 12 producers will be selected, each with their own experience of running a company and their own unique entrepreneurial capabilities, allowing the small group to benefit not only from the knowledge of the workshop consultants, but from each other’s lived experiences.

TFL Co-Production Fund 2026

In 2026, the TFL Co-Production Fund will assign three grants of €50,000 to international co-productions currently in advanced development stage, planning to be completed by October 2028. A series of tailor-made consultancies will be organized according to the needs of the film teams, guiding them through the last preparatory stages before production. The selected teams will also be invited to attend the TFL Meeting Event in November 2026 in Turin, Italy. Attended every year by over 200 European and international film professionals, the TFL co-production market is an important occasion of visibility and an opportunity to find additional partners thanks to networking moments and one-on-one meetings.

Grierson DocLab: New Entrants 

Returning for the 14th time, Grierson DocLab: New Entrants is for UK-based 18-25 year olds with a passion for documentary and factual TV who are new entrants to the industry. The programme aims to equip up to 12 successful trainees with the knowledge, connections and work experience to launch their doc careers. Successful candidates get intensive training (in person and online), a trip to Sheffield DocFest, a paid work placement at a production company, a mentor match, career coaching and much more.

Sundance Institute - Producers Programme

Sundance Institute Producers Programme supports both fiction and nonfiction producers at all stages of their feature-length projects and their careers. IDFA Project Space 2026

For first or second-time documentary filmmakers, IDFA Project Space offers a unique, creativity-driven talent development program, carefully tailored to filmmakers’ individual needs. Under the mentorship of esteemed filmmakers and industry professionals, participants gain invaluable guidance and expertise tailored to their journey as emerging talents. In 2026, IDFA Project Space takes place over four months, from June to September, with two online modules and one in-person week in Amsterdam. Oxbelly - 2026 Screenwriters Programme

The Screenwriters programme of the Oxbelly Retreat supports writer-directors developing their second fiction feature films who are seeking to strengthen their craft and push the boundaries of their unique cinematic voice. The fellows will workshop their scripts through individualized meetings with experienced writer-director advisors and participate in sessions on specific aspects of the creative process. Τhe programme promotes a multidisciplinary approach: fellows participate in sessions with creatives from other fields, such as theatre, visual arts, and literature, encouraging them to broaden their narrative perspective and explore storytelling across forms. The Producing Lab helps further the careers of its Fellows by introducing them to film professionals who can advise them on both the craft and business of independent producing. Torino Film Lab - Audience Design Fund 2026

The TFL Audience Design Fund assigns 2 grants of € 45,000 each to support films internationally co-produced and currently in post-production stage, planning to be commercially distributed at least twice, including one theatrical release. To complete the initiative a mandatory Audience Design Consultancy - structured in a series of online sessions with experts and TFL Audience Designers - guides the film team in the creation of a tailored strategy for the implementation of innovative audience engagement and outreach actions. The programme will include meetings with sales and distribution expert, press agent, session on digital marketing and social media, as well as training on the latest technologies, such as AI tools, aimed at supporting the team in the preparation and implementation of the audience design strategy. The Fund covers expenses connected to the creation and execution of original audience engagement activities, beyond traditional distribution and marketing strategies.

Visions du Réel 2026 - Rough Cut Lab

VdR–Rough Cut Lab is an intimate workshop for four feature-length projects seeking specific feedback and advice from professionals on their most up-to-date rough cut. Taking place during the VdR–Industry days  (19-22 April 2026)  in Nyon, Switzerland, the Rough Cut Lab is a competitive lab dedicated to supporting filmmakers during the editing process to find the best creative direction for their films. HKIFF Industry Project Market - Work-in-Progress (WIP) 2026

The WIP initiative is designed for film projects that are in the later stage of production, helping producers and directors to secure post-production funds, meet distribution agents and film festival programmers. Directors and producers of the selected projects will be invited to WIP to introduce their new films. Each team will have 10 minutes to present its project, including a video excerpt of the film, and then followed by a 5-min Q&A session from investors, distribution company representatives, post-production company representatives, film festivals programmers and the like. Future Proof Development Lab

Future Proof supports the development of new, formally innovative non-fiction cinema and immersive works by emerging to mid-career directors and lead creatives. Delivered by FACT Liverpool and Doc Society, supported by the BFI Creative Challenge Fund, awarding National Lottery funding, the Lab is designed to encourage 10 independent directors and lead creatives to develop bold new works and prepare their projects for financing. The programme modules consist of technological workshops, group working sessions, editorial consultations and a series of curated encounters with luminary non-fiction directors and artists. Each element of the programme is intended to advance the progress of written creative, technical and concept materials, in readiness to approach potential financiers and production partners. ACE Producers Mentoring Programme

The ACE Mentoring Programme aims to support upcoming producers in managing their careers and developing their international network, by providing them with the opportunity to learn from established mentors actively working within the European film industry. Each year up to 10 producers, based in the EU or a Creative Europe MEDIA Programme country, will be selected for the Mentoring Programme EU. However, there are also three spaces open for producers from non-EU countries. With this, ACE Producers wants to contribute in creating a film industry that is more inclusive and diverse. After being selected, each producer will be matched to a mentor according to their specific needs. Throughout the year, the producers will have up to 4 meetings with their mentor, online or if possible in person at international festivals and events.

Games London Accelerator 2026 - Unlocking IP

Programme for UK video game studios focused on how to prepare new IPs for the market. The two-month programme will focus on IP strategy and development for video games, running from mid-January to mid-March 2026. British Council are offering two emerging producers and one writer/director the chance to take part in Rotterdam Lab at International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2026. The Bigger Picture - Screen Scotland x TAKE THREE

The Bigger Picture supports Scotland-based filmmakers to make creatively ambitious, high-value, high-quality and high-impact shorts to bridge the gap many filmmakers experience before making their first feature film. These films are for filmmakers who have already made a feature but really want to make a short film, or for filmmakers who are on the verge of making their feature debut and would benefit from making one more short before moving into long form. The films will have more experienced producers at the helm, helping to build relationships with talent and showcase that talent to feature film financiers. TAKE THREE will contribute £90,000 to the production budget, but teams will be expected to secure other third-party financing in addition to the tax credit.
