Cannes Film Festival returns to the Riviera from 14 - 25 May, and the 77th edition of the festival features another strong showing for the UK. 12 UK works feature across the selection including the world premieres of eight feature films.

Andrea Arnold’s Bird (starring Barry Keoghan and Franz Rogowski) will screen in competition on Thursday 16 May marking the filmmakers fifth feature film to premiere at the Festival. In competition are two UK-US co-productions; Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest work Kinds of Kindness (starring Emma Stone) and Coralie Fargeat's The Substance.

Three UK co-productions feature in Un Certain Regard; Sandhya Suri’s Santosh, Ariane Labed’s September Says and Rungano Nyoni’s On Becoming a Guinea Fowl.
