About the speakers:
MARK COUSINS
Mark Cousins is an Scottish-Irish filmmaker and writer. His 24 feature length films - including The Story of Film: An Odyssey, The March on Rome, The Eyes of Orson Welles, My Name is Alfred Hitchcock and Women Make Film - have won awards around the world, and premiered in Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, Venice and Toronto film festivals. His latest book is Dear Orson Welles and Other Essays.
KRISTY MATHESON
Kristy is the Artistic Director of BFI Festivals (London Film Festival and BFI Flare). She was the Creative Director of the 2022 Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Director of Film at ACMI, Australia’s national museum of screen culture. Kristy has worked across festivals and independent distribution, served on Screen Australia’s Gender Matters Taskforce, as a jury member for BAFTA’s Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer and is a recipient of the Natalie Miller Fellowship.
