Northern Ireland Screen - Games Emerging Talent Scheme

This funding and mentoring initiative is designed to support the next generation of game development talent in Northern Ireland. The scheme will enable emerging game developers, artists and creative practitioners to develop and publicly release an original short-form narrative game while working alongside experienced games studios and industry professionals. The scheme is open to Northern Ireland based games production companies which have identified Northern Ireland resident emerging talent that could be supported through this funding to develop and create a playable prototype of a game.

Games Development Call - Northern Ireland Screen

Northern Ireland Screen is seeking applications for the development of new narrative games intended for commercial release through the Screen Fund. Applications must relate to a single project and may include either: Original IP, or Service work projects, where the applicant company holds the contractual rights required to undertake development. Northern Ireland–based games companies may apply for up to £15,000 in development funding, based on a minimum total project budget of £20,000.

Creative Enterprise Foundations

Creative Enterprise Foundations is a dynamic and immersive business development programme tailored specifically for very early-stage screen businesses across film and TV, games, animation, immersive media, and createch. The program combines expert-led workshops and one-on-one mentoring, offering participants practical tools, industry insights, and personalised guidance to help them build a strong foundation for sustainable growth and success. The Foundations programme is for early stage companies (usually less than 2 years old) based in England and must have some track record and be ready to take their business to the next level.

London Games Festival - Games Finance Market 2026

The Games Finance Market is UK’s largest curated B2B games event, connecting studios, publishers and investors from all over the globe. It’s a signature moment for LGF and has been core to the festival since day one. The event runs over two days and it is a unique opportunity for studios to pitch their games to a selected audience of publishers and investors. In 2025, attendees included 90+ studios from 23 countries and over 40 publishers and investors. The event focuses on multiple ways to get game made, funded and to the market including investment and publishing and new for 2026: codev, and self-publishing.

Games London Accelerator 2026 - Unlocking IP

Programme for UK video game studios focused on how to prepare new IPs for the market. The two-month programme will focus on IP strategy and development for video games, running from mid-January to mid-March 2026. The accelerator will feature a mix of online and in-person sessions, focusing on how to develop your IP while scaling your game studio at the same time. Selected studios will also get free access to the Games Finance Market on April 14 & 15, and free showcase space at New Game Plus on April 16 & 17 (both part of the London Games Festival).

WEMW 2026 - Film x Games Connection Hub

From When East Meets West in Trieste 2026, a brand-new initiative designed to enhance the connection between the film and game sectors has arrived. The Film x Games Connection Hub is targeting up to 10 AV producers with a game project in development and keen to learn how the game sector works and better understand how to position, finance and distribute a game. Besides group work and individual consultations with international experts, the programme will include a matchmaking session with a group of dynamic game developers & studios from different European countries aimed at exploring new opportunities of collaboration at project development level. In addition to the matchmaking sessions with AV producers looking for partners to develop further their cross-media strategy and create collaborative games, the programme will feature a series of one-to-one meetings amongst game developers & studios to explore new forms of collaboration within the gaming sector.

LFF Expanded Industry Day

The 69th BFI London Film Festival (LFF), in partnership with American Express, has announced the programme for its inaugural LFF Expanded Industry Day, taking place on Wednesday 15 October 2025. Supported by the Southbank Centre, the new initiative marks the festival’s first dedicated industry platform for immersive, XR and video games. The day offers UK creators a focused space to connect with international peers, buyers and commissioners. Industry delegates will gain early access to projects in development, insights from leading voices, and opportunities to build new international connections.

UK Games Industry Outbound Trade Mission to Slush - Helsinki, Finland

Games London is once again running a UK games industry outbound trade mission to Slush in Helsinki, Finland. The trade mission will offer selected games studios a ticket to Slush (one per company), networking opportunities, investor introductions, VIP events and global promotion. trade mission is open to all UK games businesses, from console and PC developers to AR/VR/MR and AI innovators, mobile studios, service providers, tech platforms, start-ups and scale-ups.

Amazon - Regional Creatives Fund

£30,000 fund available to charities supporting individuals breaking into gaming, film, and TV, and other creative sectors where diversity and fresh perspectives can drive innovation and change. In addition to financial support, the Regional Creatives Fund will also use Amazon’s network of creative industry professionals to offer charities pro-bono upskilling programmes - including mentoring, work experience, placement opportunities, and digital training, with support provided by minds from Prime Video and Amazon Games.

Creative UK's Screen Launchpad is a dedicated business support programme for aspiring, diverse leaders in the screen industries, delivering a series of workshops and 121 coaching sessions with proven industry leaders and mentors over three months. The programme aims to to bestow participants with greater sector and business knowledge, access to finance, increased confidence, a peer network, and a clear vision as a potential founder equipped to begin their business journey.

International Business Development Fund - UK Global Screen Fund

The UK Global Screen Fund's International Business Development strand aims to support the development of UK screen content businesses focusing on revenue generation through export and international expansion. Eligible companies can apply for funding between £50,000 and £200,000 in total over the three-year funding period, with support in the form of non-repayable grants

The UK Global Screen Fund is inviting applications for its 2025 International Business Development Strategy Days which will run from Tuesday 3 June to Wednesday 4 June 2025 in Belfast.
