London Games Festival - Games Finance Market 2026

The Games Finance Market is UK’s largest curated B2B games event, connecting studios, publishers and investors from all over the globe. It’s a signature moment for LGF and has been core to the festival since day one. The event runs over two days and it is a unique opportunity for studios to pitch their games to a selected audience of publishers and investors. In 2025, attendees included 90+ studios from 23 countries and over 40 publishers and investors. The event focuses on multiple ways to get game made, funded and to the market including investment and publishing and new for 2026: codev, and self-publishing.

WEMW 2026 - Film x Games Connection Hub

From When East Meets West in Trieste 2026, a brand-new initiative designed to enhance the connection between the film and game sectors has arrived. The Film x Games Connection Hub is targeting up to 10 AV producers with a game project in development and keen to learn how the game sector works and better understand how to position, finance and distribute a game. Besides group work and individual consultations with international experts, the programme will include a matchmaking session with a group of dynamic game developers & studios from different European countries aimed at exploring new opportunities of collaboration at project development level. In addition to the matchmaking sessions with AV producers looking for partners to develop further their cross-media strategy and create collaborative games, the programme will feature a series of one-to-one meetings amongst game developers & studios to explore new forms of collaboration within the gaming sector.

LFF Expanded Industry Day

The 69th BFI London Film Festival (LFF), in partnership with American Express, has announced the programme for its inaugural LFF Expanded Industry Day, taking place on Wednesday 15 October 2025. Supported by the Southbank Centre, the new initiative marks the festival’s first dedicated industry platform for immersive, XR and video games. The day offers UK creators a focused space to connect with international peers, buyers and commissioners. Games London is once again running a UK games industry outbound trade mission to Slush in Helsinki, Finland. The trade mission will offer selected games studios a ticket to Slush (one per company), networking opportunities, investor introductions, VIP events and global promotion. trade mission is open to all UK games businesses, from console and PC developers to AR/VR/MR and AI innovators, mobile studios, service providers, tech platforms, start-ups and scale-ups.

Amazon - Regional Creatives Fund

£30,000 fund available to charities supporting individuals breaking into gaming, film, and TV, and other creative sectors where diversity and fresh perspectives can drive innovation and change. In addition to financial support, the Regional Creatives Fund will also use Amazon’s network of creative industry professionals to offer charities pro-bono upskilling programmes - including mentoring, work experience, placement opportunities, and digital training, with support provided by minds from Prime Video and Amazon Games.
